Stop Dog Chewing Dog Behavior Training
My puppy Rottweiler has serious chewing problem when I first took it back home. I was wondering how to stop dog chewing. But after much training and supervision and reinforcement, my puppy has stopped chewing gradually, thanks to “Secrets To Dog Training”.
For new pet owners please note that it is perfectly normal for a puppy to chew due to teething problems and the urge to explore new things and surroundings around them. You should concern more about when they chew on things that are inappropriate such as expensive items, wires, poisonous materials and more.
The following picture is my Rottweiler puppy at 3 months old. Cute isn’t it. And it loves to bite and chew at the same time. Even chew at my brother’s car bumper.

How To Stop Dog Chewing Problem
Please try the following simple steps to help stop or manage your dog’s chewing problem:
• Puppy proofing your home and take away any temptation.
• Provide tasty chew toys for your dog when you are not at home or during working hours.
• Confine or crate your dog in a safe area when you are away from home. Do provide chew toys and some treats for your dog or puppy and ensure there are no dangerous objects.
• When you are at home, provide your puppy with lots of exercise and activities together. Chase your puppy like I do every evening. Of course please do not over exercise your dog. After he or she having much exercises, they will rest or sleep and not bother to chew anymore.
• If your dog or puppy has certain favorite chew area, you can coat the area with non toxic chew deterrent or foul tasting substance like bitter apple, cayenne pepper or tobasco sauce.
• Give a firm “NO” each time you spotted your puppy chews and immediately replace with a good tasty treat or toys. Do give lots of praises if your puppy chews on the right thing such as chew toy.
• Teach your dog to “Leave IT” command.
